yes folks. i did it. i did the switchover with number portability. I went from Sprint to T-Mobile (a german company) and picked up the color sidekick after rebates for $20 which i still have to send them in. so, you can still call me at the number you know love. you shouldn’t be able to tell the difference.

here are a few geek shots of the damn thing.

i haven’t set everything up on it yet, but looks to be working well at least in my home with nice signal. let’s hope that this new device suits me kindly.

In other events, over the weekend, went to Avalon NYC to check out Mr. Peter Hook (from the infamous band, New Order) play two tracks with the uk outfit, Hybrid. It was pretty cool to see him standing mere inches away from us. Redboy almost got clocked by his bass. The other funny thing about this show was this one ol’ geezah. He was just a total freak. Dancin’ like a fool with all these hand and arm gyrations. he was just missing some glowsticks. He seemed out of place here, but it was amusing to see nonetheless. I wish we had pics of that one. Props to Fedor for getting us in hassle free. I still hate $7 coronas at any bar!

thought that this could be useful to others… I’ve been getting a few requests on the subject, cause I guess word is getting out that my mp3 files sound pretty damn good when i’m out dj’ing the digital realms of Traktor DJ and/or Final Scratch… so, after responding via email to this most recent request… i thought it may be a good idea to share with others on here my signal flow and technique… now… somebody book me already.. i’m hungry to play out again…

yea, so I haven’t been to bloggy latey. Maybe just because there hasn’t been too much going on to note. Or nothing I really care to share.

A quick recap.

Apologize party for Halloween set was totally kick ass. Laptop performed flawlessly to a packed house which has resulted in an immediate re-appearance for November, day after Thanksgiving. Saw 2ManyDJs for the first time on Nov.1 with redboy & sheri. got mad mad sweaty. Nov.11, celebrated a b-day with some fine sushi, some Hooters and some drinks with an un-blissful hangover and interview the following day. The weekend of the 15th brought b-day celebration party part duex with friends gathering at the ny comedy club and then on to open air for some house music and more drinks and dancin and foolin around.

that brings it up to date. i’ll try to be more regular and up some more fun once again…..

Saw the Boston Red Sox whip the New York Yankee’s yesterday (wednesday) for my first trip to Yankee Stadium
After leaving the game a bit early, i had to meet up with redboy to catch the free VIP style Interpol concert at the Hammerstein theatre, which i’ve never been to before either. Show was great and we had the best seats in the house thanks to shelby baccus at Matador. Too bad drinks weren’t free. The music was fantastic. about four new tracks were played. place was packed too. Now… if only electronic shows could do this well in this town. And finally, got Panther going a little ahead of launch. Panther is the and latest OS for apple computers. so far… so good. nice, fast smooth. it’s almost like a new computer. just testing and configuring stuff now….

yea. i’m almost complete with the blancodisco.com website. months in the making. i had a landmark day today by finally finishing up the whole Portfolio section. with any luck, i may be able to do a soft launch tomorrow. need to flush out a few more sections/areas and add some sound and eventually shoot some more clips for blancovision….

i’m psyched.

i just hope it will help secure me a good new job soon. i would like to have some dough again.
once i’m fully launched, i had set a personal restriction on myself for months about not loggin on into chat apps.

i will soon return to the real world… and be social again. and even more so when that new job comes in too.

as an aside: i’ll be dj’ing this friday with “MOVING” partner, mark flynn, for another edition of cathode ray tunes over at remote lounge.
